my lfs has 2 african fan shrimp. there not asian fan shrimp. they look awsome. the only thing is there $25. there about 2 inches. anyone ever have any experiance with these.

Which species do they have? Google Atya gabonensis and see if that's what they have.

You need a well established tank to try keeping these, I'm going to get 1 from my LFS soon.

They are not that hard to keep in a planted and well conditioned tank, they will take saturated flake food and love brine shrimp, especially the naupuli.

. i stocked my african cichlid tank instead.I 've got one of these. Mine is about 6 inch. Care is about the same as the asian one. They seek a place in the tank with a current where they sit all day filtering food out of the water. They are white when just shed, after a while they turn darker untill they get darkbleu.
