We have an african cichlid that is holding (they have hatched already). She was in a tank where the fry had no chance so we removed her. We have a 25 set up with several other african cichlid babies that are less than an inch. Should we put her in there, strip the fry and put them in there, or set up another tank? I have a 10 I could use temporarily. Thanks in advance.

If the Fry are free swimming then stripe them from the mother. Put them in the 10 gallon tank NOT with the other fry. The new babies will be eaten by the larger fry, even if they are only a couple of weeks apart. Remember fry eat things that move until they get older. The new fry will become food. Wait till they get older and bigger and you can add them in.
Thats what I did. I have a few baby tanks for different age fry until they can be placed into larger tanks...I've attempted to catch my african fry but have never had success...sooooooo I've used the Hide and live or die method..............so far in the last year I've had a few grow into adults.....

Mouthbrooder...so he should only have to catch one fish I think.
