I put my beat up Yellow Lab in a 10g with high heat, 3-4 tbsp's of salt and a tsp of melafix. Am I doin the right thing? He was beat up by another African whom has since been evicted and relocated.

Clean water and rest are the best medicine.Do frequent waterchanges and be sure he has some cover to hide.Good luck!
OK, so as his healing progresses, he's only getting worse. His tail is pretty much gone and he's starting to get blood spots around his body. He took a beatin' and not sure if he's gonna pull through. I am tryin' though. He's just getting worse. As a fish owner, I feel I should atleast try my best to help him heal or should I put him down?
