ok so i bought a african knife fish 2 daay an i need info on them plz he is in a tank wit alot of diff fish he is peace full so far so can any1 give me any kind of info on them????!

I own one. The minimum tank size for a small specimen is 55 gallons, but a full-sized adult should have 75 gallons. They are very predatory, but peaceful to fish their own size and should not be housed with aggressive fish. Mine is very secretive but I have heard of some being tamed. You should feed different frozen and live foods.

^^ ZEBRA covered it all. I couldn't have said it any better.

ok thanks yea the fish that are wit it are bigger an i was reading about how they dont get along with there own type so does that mean i cant get a black ghost knife an if i did what would happen??!

I've heard of it working but I wouldn't risk it. Black ghosts usually won't tolerate other knives; you might be ok with another brown knife though.

Mine ate sinking pellets as soon as I got it, it's in with peaceful cichlids with no problems. Give it some driftwood, rocks, and dense plants to hide in. Once it feels secure it may get really outgoing especially at feeding time, mine is right out front with the severums, jurupari etc waiting for food most days.
