I just picked up a african red knob today and i was told he would be fine in my tank. When i got home i read they might eat other starfish, has anyone ever had this problem with these guys. I have a chocolate chip and and a general starfish which i don't want turning into snacks. I was told if you kept the starfish well fed they hardly ever go after another star, so i been trying to feed clams. I thought it would be cool to have a tank with all different types of stars and now wondering if that's possible at this point. Any input is much appreciated.

From what I've read as adults they eat pretty much everything (besides live fish). That said, most species of anything (that aren't obligate feeders) generally will eat what ever is easiest to eat, meaning something that wont move or fight back, so in theory they could be right well fed they may not eat other stars... but if you have a collection of other stars... I'd be extra watchful and careful.
