Do African Lungfish get hole in the head or has the one I just saw at my LFS suffered a head injury? Also, it's only $30, and I could get it for half that if I wanted to take it and nurse it back to health.......Should I do it or is it too much work and effort to get rid of HITH ? IDC if it's a scar or head injury as that will heal on it's own over time w/ good parameters, salt, stress coat and whatever else you guys would suggest, but HITH is time-consuming, Yes?
On the other hand , $30 or less is pretty cheap for an 15"-18" African Lungfish, isn't it? I don't care personally, I'll make room for it if I need to, but I never planned on Lungfish.....i'd just rather see something like this LIVE HAPPY and HEALTHY with me if I have to change things, rather than have it perish under some random doosh's hand. How important are temperatures? What is different for keeping these guys than the Cichlids and Catfish and Bottom-feeders I have been keeping for decades or so?
Who would buy it and call it a "Fix 'er up"??? The top of it's head looks pretty bad.....just a fair warning.
