African lungfish

so I recently bought a lungfish and its my first time getting one so not sure if this is normal or not ..but I noticed that my lungfish looks like its crawling up my tank like its trying to escape but it just goes all the way up for a few seconds then he slowly drops back down to the bottom ..is that normal like its just getting air ???

It's probably just getting air but would cover all openings.

That’s normal behavior. Like Tom said make all openings are covered.

its normal for them to do that. just getting oxygen
