Over there
Hey guys! So while I'm in the process of selling off my fish in my 150, I came up with an idea to combine both of my favorite hobbies, aquatic predators and snakes! But I have no idea what I am going to stock this tank with except that it will be only half full, so about 75g and it will be home to either a pair of green tree pythons or mangrove snakes and whatever I put in the water. Give me ideas of what to put in the aquatic section! I have a few bichirs that I might just end up keeping for this setup and it will be heavily filtrated with a sump and I'm going to try and incorporate a waterfall. Give me ideas guys of fish that could live in this for life! The footprint of the tank is 6ft x 18" the water height will be 12"+ but the entire table height is 2ft. Ideas guys? Again, this is just an idea right now. I'm not sure if I'm gonna do it yet

I'm not sure how snakes and fish are going to get along, but assuming you did your research and they will you could a pair of jewel cichlids.

I'm not a fan of cichlids at all which kinda limits what I can get but the snakes won't bother the fish at all. As juvies, both mangroves and gtp's will eat any terrestrial animal but leave fish alone and as adults, gtp's will only eat warm blooded animals. Neither of them prey on fish in the wild mainly cuz they're both arboreal so that's why I thought it would be cool to have fish roaming the bottom, mimicking flooded rivers, and the snakes claiming territory at the top, the canopies. The warm water will also help keep the high humidity that these guys require in the wild and will always have a constant supply of clean running water. Not water that tends to get stagnant from just sitting in a bowl
