African pike has red all around his eye

I got a african pike about 2inch put him in last night doing find swiming happily. His eye was good at the time. woke up to find red all over his eye. My dad was saing he may of spraped it on a rock. What do you guy think it is. the only other tank mates are silver same size and a datnoid that hides. I added salt and turned the heater to 82.

I don't think it scraped the eye on something unless there is damage on the area around it but I don't see that in the picture.Only one other fish in there,when was the last time the water was changed and what's your filtration?It may be from a negative reaction to the change in the water chemistry between where you got it from and where you now have it.

mangnum 305 fillter. i did a water change to days befor i got him. DO you thinke i should do some water changes. I did add salt and turned up thre heat!

try melafix or pimafix, ive used it heal eye issues with my african tiger fish.

is it puffing out any?? or just red?
