Just wondering if there are any other plants out on the market from Africa besides Anubius. I want to try to add more plants to my tank, but I want to keep to the African Theme.

according to my plant book:

general african, unless specified:
salvinia natans - north africa
nymphaea lotus - east africa
nesaea crassicaulis
lagarosiphon major - south africa
fontinalis antipyretica - north africa
crinum natans - west africa
bolbitis heudelotii
barclaya longifolia - east africa
bacopa monnieri - west africa
ammannia gracilis

worldwide:
eleocharis acicularis
riccia fluitans
potamogeton crispus
egeria densa

tropical/subtropical:
vallisneria spiralis
pistia stratiotes

I currently have some of the bolbitis. It's a very slow grower, about 1/3 the speed of anubias. That's pretty sad when I fertilze, inject CO2, and have 390wt light. Some of the others are common plants, others you'll prob never find.

Edit: found the site I was looking for.

great info here

Several aponogetons are also from africa (madagascar), particularly Madagascar lace.

Several of the rare plants listed by evercl are available at aquadise. Great shipper, HIGHLY recommend him.

Here is the link. Aquadise! That will give you current stock lists, and prices. I recommend the Ludwigia sp. guinea for those that are established plant keepers. I didn't notice that it was growing, but it is growing pretty good, about 2" in the last week. The reason I like this plant is that its new leaves come up fully colored, and don't change at all throughout its growth.

Have you figured out any of the new plants you want to stock with? Is this tank a lowlight, un -assisted tank, or are you co2 injecting, ferts all that stuff?

I just started a live plant tank a few months ago and I have an Anubius sp. in my African Tank right now. All the plants are sprouting new leaves and roots. All I have is water, heat, and light. Of course...the fish probably helps with fertilizing? Maybe I'm getting lucky so far. So I guess to answer your question, it's unassisted. The lighting on one tank are 2 flourescents ( 1 full spectrum and 1 atinic). The African tank has a small 120w Compact on it.

Anubias are a realatively difficult species to kill. If you intend to go for more plants from the lists, ferts, co2 and possibly more lighting will be needed.
