ok this is my first shot at keeping africans i have always kept central and south american.
i want to do a nice predator tank. i just picked up 6 nimbochromis fuscotaeniatus bc they look simliar to peacock bass and i love the colors, what else do u reccomend to put in with them? they are only about 3 inches

African Pike (Odoe)

due to such factors as
aquarium size, stocking levels and order of introduction. There may even be some variability among
individual specimens nimbochromis fuscotaeniatus. So if you have a group of them now expect some fighting between the males as they mature... these fish can reach 16 inches in maturity so how big is the tank your keeping them in for future , this will also depend on tankmates..

Fusco's max out at 10-12"

These are fierce predators and propably one of the most aggressive species of the malawi predators. Make sure you have a large tank and an extra tank so that it is possible to seperate fighting specimans
