So I got my girlfriend an African Pygmy Hedgehog for her graduation present. I get to house it at my house and clean up its poo, while she gets to visit and see it being cute lol.

Me too and can't now on account they are banned in our state.
I'm not sure really,probably something about them being exotic animals.
I know they used to be in just about every other shop years ago but that stopped a few years ago.
.....apparently sugar gliders are no nos too,not sure about ferrets and chinchillas.
There's a blanket ban on most carnivorous mammals here,which is stupid because most of them have zero chance of living if they escape here
My daughtetr just got one three weeks ago.....Decided she had to have one.....earned the money and bought it herself ( I just drove the three hour roundtrip to Old Lyme CT to get it! ) She is 14 going on 19. She already has a Ball Python in her room she bought 4 years ago!! Cute litttle creature. Sounds like a mini helicopter when nervous!
