About 2 months ago I a got a new baby clarias( which i thought was black clarias batarchus ) , during the past two month this baby grew from 3 inches to about 14 inches measured when I transferred him into a bigger tank . 11 inches growth in two months, thats insane
!! and when he grew up I noticed that this catfish didnt look like any walking catfish clarias batrachus I ever saw , It had a rectangular head with a huge broad mouth , and a white band on the tail which didnt show when he was young ...
After research I found out that its an African sharptooth catfish Clarias gariepinus , Its a a member of the clariidae thats lives in Africa and can attain gigantic sizes , many have been caught surpassing 100 lbs in weight!!
