Hi all, i aquired what i was told was an african shovelnose. since putting him in the tank a month ago ive seen him once. any suggestions? lol will try upload a picture at some point, hes only abput 5 inches been told he gets to about 1ft

Its probably clarotes laticeps, only fish ive seen from Africa being sold under this name, although it gets bigger than 1ft.

Yeah it shore dose only see him when i enter the room and turn the light on when its dark but soon shoots off lol
oh good at least its not just mine, What do you feed yours? i think mine is currently on tetra prima and catfish pellets. i say "think" cos i never see it eat
LOL mine is on sinking carnivourous pellets and bloodworm and in the 2 weeks 6 green tiger barbs lol
They are beautiful and get better looking the bigger they get mine is between 6-8" now and iv only seen him eat about once or twice and that was a mouth full of blood worm and a few pellets. Just so very shy
