African tank stocking Ideas?

Hey guys, this isn't final but this is just incase I ever plan using one of my extra 40 gallons. I would be using a 40 breeder anyways. I currently have a 120 Amazonian tank. So anywho I was planning of stocking it with a african butterfly fish, elephantnose, and a featherfin catfish. This is if I get a chance to ever set up a 40 african oddball tank so could anyone tell me if the tank would be large enough? Always wanted to set up an african tank.

a 40b would be fine for the butterfly fish, the featherfin will get somewhere in the neighborhood of 8-10" or so, at least mines on his way to that length, so he will fit but it might be tight for him. the elephantnose I have no idea on, never had or read up on them.
