  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
there are a bunch of different kinds of african cichlids. there are Malawi haps, Malawi mbuna, all kinds of tanganyikan, victorian and then there are the west african riverine types. what kinds were you interested in?

:)

Really the only thing that you should put with africn cichlids is other african cichlids and if you want, a pleco and catfish.

Or are you asking what kind of african cichlids to keep. Well some were listed above, but malawi are the most common and the easiest to find.

Its one of the few bichirs robust enough to survive a bunch of chichlids and not aggressive enough to kill them all. Sure he will sometimes catch a young one, but if You have enough rocks, caves or other hiding places, some of the small ones will have a chance to grow up.

Endlicheri congicus is found in lake tanjanika and lake malawi.

Also there are many types of catfish from those lakes.
