anyone own a tiger scat that experienced this problem? please help.

so i have a african tiger scat for a few months now and he's been extremely healthy and color has been very nice. He eats everything you throw in the tank and do not deny food at all.

The past two weeks, his color has been darkening and the yellow stripes are now black. He is still eating like a mad man but is not active like he use to be. he likes to hide now behind the drift wood when he normally rushes to the glass when you go close to tank.

my water parameters are completely normal at 0 for ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. i do two WC change weekly. i do a 25% on wednesdays and 45% hard gravel cleaning on Sundays.

i have been trying to look for information online but nothing is available. I'm hoping someone here can assist me.

Hm what's a tiger scat?

Wow what a kool looking fish how big does it get and are aggressive

I have some... They do that now and then.. Could be stress. I have an alpha one in the tank, which like to chase everyone. As long as it eats, same like mine, I'm not worry.

it's been like that for about two weeks. He's became a bottom feeder now and has not eaten a pellet from the surface. i think he's scared of the larger fishes. =( he's very dark

how many do you have? i was thinking about buying another one for some companionship but i heard they would fight eachother to the death.

Definitely stress......give it some time.

i assume stress. any new fish introduced into the tank?

i assumed stress as well, but stress for 2 weeks is a very long time. i haven't introduced any new fishes.

i guess as long as he's eating then all is well. he's just not as active as he once was nor is he looking too pretty right now. lol
