I don't think ATFs are illegal in California, but FW stingrays and pirhanas are... The best way to find out is search the web/contact your department of fish and wildlife or whatever you call it out there.

ATF are perfectly legal in california, but i doubt for long but yes everything else is ilegal as stated below

I think you're right.. give it another 10 years let the general public find out more about them and they'll probably meet the same fate as piranha/stingrays in alot of states..

beeing in the fish hobby california does suck. some of the bans they seem to enforce more heavily than others. cichlids and characin aren't really regulated, while pirahna, stingrays you can't find anywhere (although riverwonders sells them to out of state buyers and their located in socal)
