Hi All

I currnetly have a 12-13" Vittatus in a 96x24x24", 240US gallon. I plan to upgrade to a 118x36x36" 530US gallon tank in a year or two.
I'd really like to keep a little shoal of between 3-7 Vittatus in a tank. How many do you think i could keep in my planned tank for life?

Ta.

For life I would say zero. You could keep a shoal of them for a few years in that size tank.

try to make the tank atleast four feet wide

I had a 12" vitt in a 6foot tank, bad mistake. These fish truly are very fast and very powerful and couple that with their skittish nature I think they need at least a 15" tank. My 12" fish killed himself by crashing into the glass with just a flick of his tail after being chased by my dat... :(

i would go 10x4x30 a 750 would be good for a small school for life like 3vittus

Yep, they are very very skittish, and need A LOT of room to swim in. Otherwise, they will bang against the glass.
