ive got a 30 gallon laying around and me and my dad have been wanting to set up a cichlid tank for sometime
weve chosen a crushed coral/black sand substrate
any ideas on the fish?

I would check in the african cichlids part of this forum. But since you asked I would reccomend some yellow labs

Make a nice Julidochromis colony tank.I like the regani and transcriptus.

its a small tank for your typical mbuna malawis- Will Hayward gave great advice with the julies- or a male and a few females of the saulosis like the last poster-but i would go with the tanganyika cichlids.
