Think I am going to change over my 75g to a non cichlid african themed tank. Thinking congo tetras, Ctenopoma acutirostre, african butterfliy fish, and rope fish. Can anyone recommend ay mid size to larger fish for this set up that they have owned and really enjoyed. Particularly active fish. thanks

African leaf fish but ya mite lose a few congos if there small when there full grown u should be fine.

yes, I had a congo river themed 65 gallon, with 1 Senegalus polyterus, 1 elephant nose, 1 leopard bush fish, 5 congos, 3 sydontis cats a bunch of annubias and african fern. Loved it, the elephant nose was surprisingly active.

3 delhizi 7 Congo tetra, three African butterflys (assuming lots of surface plants/cover) African knife a large elephant nose, and 3 upside down cats would be awesome.

Have a blackwater effect on the tank would also make it complete!

Been heavily considering the knife. Just don't know if it will be active enough. It will actually be a mostly African themed tank. I have two sunshine plecos that will probably have to stay

Kevin I really want to get a moke from you for my 125g which is my current polypterus tank. Just can't justify the shipping on one fish.

I use to have a brown African knife an was very active if you have the tank well planted it should e fine
