Africans and snails

Will these eat Malaysian Trumpets:

Red Zebra 1.5"
Yellow Lab 2"
A. saulosi Peacock 2"

I don't have a snail problem yet, but I'm thinking of adding some to my tank to stir my gravel/sand mix.

all of the snails that I have added to my african tanks die a few days later. I thought I was doing something wrong, but noticed the last time that my africans pick them to death and eat the insides... just my experience

I have a chance to get MT's for next to nothing, so at least they may end up as interesting feeders

they will last a little while if you put in a few... I put in a few two weeks ago... I have a 120 with about 25 different types of peacocks and a few haps some tangs and compess... so they may last longer... have fun and post what you notice...

I know the yellow will for sure, I think the Red Zebra will too. Not sure about the peacock though.

if you add enough MTS and your gravel is deep enough, they will reproduce quicker than be eaten. i added about 200 to my 75 over a year ago and i still have them

My friend thought he had a few hundred Malaysian Trumpet snails in has 55 gal. until he redid it and found thousands. So he's selling me 200 for $1.00.

I usually see them for 10 bucks a dozen. You got one heck of a deal.
