Africans with Flowerhorn

Has anyone had any luck mixing Africans with a Single flowerhorn in a 75gal? I'm trying to give my tank a little more movement. I have tried other CA/SA cichlids but he attacks till they die. He is about 5in now and full of piss and vinegar. I was thinking of scoring about 5-6 mixed Africans to get color and movement, and Africans are known for being pretty tough. Let me know guys.

Africans are fine if u get a few and they grow with it while and if u want to try this get hiding spots preferably narrow ones since Africans are long and narrow and FH are short and bulky
My 6 inch FH is with 8 other fish ranging from large parrotfish 6-8 inches a Midas cichlid and a jack demsey
