Don't know
Right now in a 20 gallon i have a frontosa and a 4 mixed africans. They aren't hybrids tho. What i want to know is how many frontosas do i need because i was thinking 3 would be a good number. The last of my stock will be a bumble bee cichlid. How does this sound for a 55 once big and then a 150. If you have ideas let me know

First you are overstocked. Get the 55 gallon ASAP. Fronts grow slowly but starting with a 55 rather than than a 20 is a better way to go.

Also what type of african cichlid? That term covers a lot of species many of which are not compatible with fronts.

Also front do best on colonies but I think 5 would be ok. Just make sure to only keep 1 male in the group.

Lastly DO NOT GET A BUMBLEBEE CICHLID. They are much more aggressive than fronts and could outright kill it or stress it to death.

If you want more help check in the rift lake cichlid section, there are many frontosa keepers there that can help you more.
