What is the difference between the goliath and the regular ATF. The LFS says they have goliath, just wondering how to tell them apart. I highly doubt they are what they are saying.

top pic is a goliath, the one below it is a vittatus

are goliath ATF common at the LFS or are they rare? they are selling them for $100. From the pics it seems the dorsal fins are very different.

guppy - the top pic is a vittatus :)

Goliaths have no stripes, have a more elongated body and longer snout.

Anyone wanting to know what a goliath looks like, take a look at a ATF thread started by fugupuff, and also look in tigerfangs gallery. He has a goliath.

I wondered about that, the pictures are straight from fishbase. I never kept one myself, this pic is supposed to be a goliath, it is from a fishing site.

fishbase contains a wealth of information, but many of the photos are wrong. I guess they can't check and ID correctly every photo sent it :)

btw Guppy- is Loren also a boy's name in the US? :D
Not very often, Loren is not all that common as either male or female, for females it is usually Lauren. I was told that it was supposed to be Lorcn but was put on my birth certificate wrong. Lorcn or Lorccan is an old family name from the Irish side and means "little fierce one".
