i got this running on my system

the red is the pump... it splits into 2... one side goes over the bio balls.... the red goes to the 10 gallon tank...

the blue is the returns... two 1" bulkheads and 1" pvc pipes

i bought about 10 bucks, didnt even take out the nylon fishnet and just squeezed it into the sump.. i would take pics , but you have my camera.
