After a short battle

I have a small LMB in a 75 gal. tank that i added a longear sunfish to. Of course the little bass was not impressed & a short battle took place which caused a split fin on the sunny. Will this heal to the point of not being noticeable ? It is just a slit, not ragged or anything.

Fins should heal up good as new with time and good water.

How deep is the split if its just the fin then it will fully grow back.

It is split from the top to about half way down to the body.

You're fish fins will definitely grow back over time. Make sure you keep up on you're routine water changes, because that helps. The only time to extremely worry about fin clipping. Is when the fin has a split all the way to it's body and or almost completely gone. Even in some of those cases the fins fully restore. Might not have the same look or coloring, but a recovery is a good thing.
