Sold my last piranha a few years ago and just happened to run across a Rhom on CL. Had to drive 4 hrs to get him but living in BFE we just don't have any p's locally. Poor guy has been living in a 30 gallon tank for the last year. :( Had to buy him and tank but for 150 bucks it was worth it to help out the poor guy (and the deal wasn't that bad).

He will be going in either my 75 or a 125. Not sure which one yet. Here's a quick crappy cell pic.

how big is he?
people are crazy

I haven't measured him but just at a glance somewhere between 10-12".

I agree, it ticks me off the amount of people I run into that have either large fish in small tanks, or overstocked tanks.

I'm amazed at how much calmer he is than my 7" Rhom. Not skittish in the least and made the trip very well.

Good one saving that poor rhom dude! Did you measure him before you put him in the tank? 125 sounds great he looks like he has some decent size and girth on him.

Yeah, he's got some bulk. I never took him out of the tank I got him with. I emptied half the water out and threw it in the back seat of my truck. Wanted to stress him as least as possible. :) Hence me guessing on his size. The picture isn't a very good representation.

nice rescue, that poor thing had it rough, I can see some HITH and maybe a little bit of gill curl. with some TLC hopefully it will get better.
