After HITH - Feeding?

I have a black P that recovered with a nasty bout of HITH.

Is there anything I can feed, after the fact that will help aid in his recovery?

im confused. your thread implies that is has already recovered.

does it have HLLE, or it had HLLE?

if its already "recovered", you wouldnt need to "aid in his recovery"

Had... although sometimes I question whether he's still battling it.

The scar tissue looks iffy though.
That's why i'm wondering what I can feed to possibly help make the tissue stronger.

as long as you keep the water clean and give it a variety of foods, it will be fine.
you could use melafix to help with the scaring, but i dont use or suggest using chemicals in aquariums unless absolutely necessary.
keep the water in pristine condition, and it will heal with time.

water quality is real nice

right now i feed convicts & beefheart. Occasional shrimp.
any suggestions?

if your P wont accept pellets, your best bet is to gutload your feeders with a good quality dry food.
i use feeders gutloaded with homemade food and vitamins as well as quality dry foods.

Howdy,

HITH has also been said to be exacerbated by carbon filtration (i.e. removal of essential trace elements). It's safest to not run carbon unless necessary to remove meds. Besides that, as said above: Mixed diet.
