Hi,
I finally got around to joining about 6-7 months after being told to do so:)
Some may know me, some may hate me, some don't care , haha.
I'm still using a cheapo Canon powershot and Pentax underwater camera, but I will be getting a Canon 35mm DSLR coming up here soon.
I like the idea of the Canon 30, but for what I do and the demands required, I am just thinking about the Canon rebel xti. I've read some info about it, my main issue is really with flashes. I use to use an old Pentax K1000 with a remote flash and could take nicer pics with that than any digital camera.I'm hoping to change that.

Regards,
Tom Barr

Welcome Tom!!

There are a few guys on this Forum that use Canon and I am sure they can answer just about any question you might have. Those remote flashes sure do make things easier.

haha, sorry Edward!

I've been busier than heck. So I did get a nice Canon D5 and some flash stuff is on the way, I plan on using a cheapy flash and maybe a Metz, with the Canon 430EX.

I'm selling the Canon rebel EX as I think it's time to take the art ASPECT more seriously. I know I travel all over the wilds and take snap shots, but really hunting for scenes is something I really do love and I go to some incredible places most weekends.

I like aquariums but was only able to use an old Pentax K1000 to take any decent shots years' ago and then the flash stuff was simple and worked right. I need to really sit down and learn to use 2 nice flashes at once to do the decent tank photos I desire.

Regards,
Tom Barr
