Ok so i bought some new lea ceibas for myself for xmas and xmas was awesome this year. Now the heartache!!! The heat in my winter car crap the bed, then the smallest beani i have died, and today the winter car went in to get tires i got put on and to get the heat checked. I get the call from the mechanic and says it has a brake problem. So after the fish dying, dropping money on xmas, now i have to drop $900 into my car... Had to vent a lil because a hole in the wall is looking good right now

I went to check on the rental house as I hadn't been there for two days and found the basement was getting colder. Probably because the contaimated insolation had been removed and not replaced due to lack of compensation.
Despite that I have extra heaters running, I found a betta sitting in 60F water with a fungus. I have no idea what injured the betta in a ten gal tank alone, but I know the falling temps caused the fungus to take hold. I remember that all of the fish meds are at my parents' house due to treating my synodontis for mystery illness. Because I had a mystery illness nobody could diagnose, I had taken the entire bin of meds with me and set them on the floor.

I'm thinking, it would be cheaper to drive to the store and buy new meds then fetch them from my parents house, because it's the night before Christmas stores are now closed. So I drive to my parents house to pick up fungus medicines. Drive back, setup a sick tank on the living room floor, treat the sick betta with meds. All the time while my brothers are visiting at my parents house and I'm getting calls about how "Now we're having lunch, now we're having Christmas tea"...And I'm at my rental house giving a betta emergency care when I meant to just quick stop in, feed the fish and drive back. I just don't feel like telling them that a betta got sick, because it's related to the problems within the house and whenever I complain about the house, I get told "blame game". I'm not allowed to complain about the problems within the house that resulted from other people's irresponsible behavior.

I drive back for Christmas dinner, drive back to the rental house two days later and the betta is now laying on bottom of the sick tank dead. I quickly put the sick tank out of sight and decide I don't want to drive back to the rental house the next day. So I get screamed at for heating a house for aquariums only because I didn't drive back that day. Yeah, a house that is so poorly heated that even with double the normal amount of heat, it still kills fish. So despite that I wasn't going to say anything about how the "house" killed another of my fish, I tried to explain why I need another stress break from the rental house. That house has killed more of my fish then any other cause which is why my favorite fish remain at my parents house. I might rather give them away then subject them to the trashy rental house so it can kill them too.
So that is my Christmas "heartache".
