Been having a look at different designs of overflow for my new tank.
The megaflow caught my eye as quite an interesting idea.
Unfortunatly the megaflow is not available in the UK so it will be a DIY job probably made out of acrylic or rigid PVC sheet.
But before I decide if it is worth doing I would like to hear any veiws from people using this overflow, does it do what it say's.How effective is it at drawing water from lower down in the tank?Or would you just stick with a standard overflow with teeth at the top?
Do you ever get clogging issues between to two sections, also I see they suggest to use silicon to attatch the overflow to the glass tank, now as far as I am aware silicon does not bond very well to plastic's/acrylic so I am assuming that the water pressure keeps the overflow pushed against the glass and the silicon just acts as a seal,Is that the case?
Thanks in advance

I am not looking for an overflow box as the tank will be drilled in the base this is a type of overflow/weir that seems to be quite popular in the states and looks quite interesting,It may even be called something different over here but could not find it.It looks like this and runs from the base to the top like weir.

Mainly interested in how good they are,as I could probably make something up out of acrylic or rigid PVC.But thanks for taking the time to reply.

Here is a pic of my overflow. It is a single sheet of glass. Very easy to replicate and would cost very little even including buying the comb for it.
