age and sex identifacation

i have a RES, a chinese soft shell, a common stinkpot, a false map, and an aligator snapping turtle, but i am not sure the age or sex of any, any help you can provide is welcome..... is there a basic way to tell that is specific to each turtle or is it pretty universal - thanks

one way to tell is by looking at the tail

males have a much longer/ thicker tail compaired to the female

with the RES afew other ways to tell is that the females get larger than the males and the males have longer claws on their front legs
