Does anyone have any good tips or success stories for keeping aggression down in Growout community CA/SA cichlid tanks? I am talking about Parachomis, red devil's, umbee or any of the big nasty guys. Do you think keeping them with Oscars or silver dollars will keep the aggression down? Any other tips?

I am talking about a large tank 125gallon+
It still just seams very difficult to grow small fish out together no matter the size of the tank. I remember as a child i used to always have oscars with managuense and red devil's and never noticed nearly the aggression that I have seen recently. My theory was that oscars tend to be the largest in the tank, and that can make them the leader of the tank. And since they are less aggression then a dominant Parachomis the aggression level for all fish will be less.

Dont allow pairs to form. Overstock to reduce aggression could work. Plenty of visual barriers and hiding places. Dither/target fish may work.
Just some suggestions!
However, i personally wouldn't do the oscar idea. If you are growing out smaller species the oscars will simple out compete them for food, take up space, pollute the water, may even try eat them dependant on size. But they also have tendencies to get aggressive - not always, but it isnt uncommon.
