Hello I have a few discus in a 55 and they all seem to get along just fine except for two of them. I'm wondering what's going on here it's a constant chance until my tefe goes into hiding. Any thoughts?

How big are they? Did you get them all together? How many is a few?

Distrust those in whom the desire to punish is powerful

I have three now cause one had passed away recently two of then are about 4" and the other guy is only 2.5 or so the two big ones are the issue well one is. It's just relentlessly chasing the other around I have gotten them all separately.

The bigger the group, the less chance there is of 1 being picked on

So adding a few more will probably help, but you will need to qt them first.

Definitely need more. Discus need large groups. They also need a lot of decorations and plants to hind behind

Your 'few' is not enough to quell the natural aggression. Try 5 or 6 maybe. A 75g would be a nice upgrade if you could stand it. Shoaling fish need numbers to be calm & establish hierarchy. Aggression isn't concentrated on a single fish. "T"

Thanks I do have a 75 that I plan on moving them to however I need to find a home for its currant inhabitants
