Is it ok to put a group of silver dollars with Motas? I have a trio of big mota for a while now and they seem to be non aggressive. I've kept dovii and jags before and they will kill everything including themself. Are motas the same or they can be good with tankmates. Let me know your experiences with Motaguense.

I think it is safe to assume that all parachromis will be more aggressive than most other cichlids. I am sure the likes of RTM, Loisellie and Freddies may not be as aggressive as jags, let a lone dovii, but you can bet that Mota's don't have those nice set of chompers for nothing.
:shark:

That being said, we have all seen community tanks with every type of parachromis, so obviously at the end of the day, it depends on the individuals personality.

If the tanks big enough it can work. Imo mota's are more aggressive than jags.

+1 motas in my experience are evil. You could try silver dollars but my Managuense ate all mine easily. Even if he couldn't swallow it he'd just shred them
