we'll my mayan cichlid is beating the crap out of my jackdempsy and isn't getting along to we'll with my other fish so i need to get rid of him so i'm looking for a color full and preditory cichlid to keep with a jackdempsy and a jaguar cichlid right now there in a 55 but soon i will have a 6 foot tank so any ideas

i really like amphilophus robertsoni i've heard they arn't to aggressive any body kept them before
and i think i'm going to get a snook i'm trying to find one that isn't red but the red bay snooks look good to so any help would be great thanks

The A. Robertsoni is mildly aggro toward other species, But it is highly conspecific aggro. So go with one and you should be OK, depending on the tank size.

thats what i thought to
and i realize that a jaguar isn't a no aggressive cichlid but if she starts proublems I think i'll get a tank just for her

okay now i'm more looking for a less aggressive cichlid that has some good color

If you want less aggro cichlids I would say Geo's but it's not going to happen with a JD and Jag. Go for a Texas. Not a Carpinte aka Green Texas as you will end up with major problems. IME they are SUPER aggressive and kill/ trash everything.

the jackdempsy is a sissy the jag just won't let anyone push it around i was looking at geos and they llok good i heard they dig like crazy which isn't that much of a proublem they may be an option i do like texas but i've seen a ton of aggressive ones they are one to think about to

that is a good point most likely a 180 but it could be a 125 so right know on the list i have
jaguar
jackdempsy
snook hopefully a green one
amphilophus robertsoni
mabye a gold saum or more likely a silver saum i had a bad experience with a gold one it was really aggressive but was a male so mabye that had to do with it
and a texas if i can find a normal one how do you tell the differnce between them when small ? and i heard that when older they can get really aggressive
