Hey all, I'm working on putting together my first african tank and I currently have a stock of 5 fish, and the blue cobalt male is starting to get a bit aggro. the red zebra is female the yellow lab is small but i also think female, i believe the ob peacock is male but im not 100% sure on sex, and the acei is a male. the cobalt has gotten to the point where he does his best to not let the acei out of the top corner, but more or less leaves everyone else alone (other than a small chase here and there on the peacock). I was wondering what the best way to reduce the aggression level of the cobalt to the acei, should i add another male fish or another female? So far this is the only kink i've had in my stock fortunately and was curious the best way to fix it.

Increase hiding spaces or get rid of the problem child (blue zebra). I assume you have the 3' long 45 gallon? Maybe introducing more fish would work, but the blue zebra will eventually need to go back to the fish store or be moved to a larger tank. They can be nasty buggers.

yep 3', though im keeping an eye out for a good deal on another 75 for these guys, you think if i took the acei out and adding a couple females it would reduce the issues temporarily at least?
