I always thought PBass were aggressive. But mine don't seem to be very aggressive. I have them in a tank with a Myan who seems to punk them, even the ones that are bigger. There are some gill flaring however the bass always seem to back down. Anyone else seen this? Maybe mine just need more size.

you want killer peacock bass?

mine fuss with each other, chase each other, but have no problem at all living together, even with other kinds of fish. they don't have to act tough, they KNOW they are the toughest fish in the tank.

Killer p bass is not the point but when I think of aggressive fish I think aggressive. They just don't come across as that semi aggressive fine but as compared to other cichlids they are pretty calm except for feeding time.

Ya thats true when the peacock bass are small they have a tough time getting along with other cichlids and will grow very slowly. When they are small they seem to always go for just feeder guppies. Once they start eating goldfish they will gorw pretty fastand to me I think they get more colorful. They do like to be with les agressive tank mates or semi agrssive tank mates at the beginning. As they grow the will eep getting more and more agressive. They are a very nicefish to have so dont give up.

No, PBass are not aggressive when Cichlids are concerned,

and as for the Mayan, that's one of the more agro cichlids out there.

when you know you're the toughest guy in the room you don't need to fight to prove it..

Same goes for Peacock Bass

peacock bass get more aggressive as they get larger IMO... babys are very vulnerable, as well as smaller juvenilles..
