my blood parrots have been super aggressive lately. why is this? the attack everything that gets to close. they hang out together and do not let anything anywhere near where they hang out at. they tend to attack together and have zoned in on my pacu. what can i do to calm them down?

It sounds like they are claiming an area (or the entire tank) as theirs. Most likely you are going to need to either seperate them or put them in a larger tank. Is this the same 75 gallon tank you mentioned in your other thread?

My Parrots have to live just with each other. Mean little buggers that pick all the fights and then can't finish them. They're real aggressive but just can't do much harm because of their mouths. They can stress another fish over the edge though.

yea they are in the 75 gallon found on craigslist a 120 gallon tank that i might pick up, should this change anything?

If you put the Pacu in that tank by it's self it should be fine for three or four months.

would that calm my parrots down?

Seperating them, they're pairing off (they don't know they can't breed).

If the parrots are no longer able to get to the Pacu (since they are in seperate tanks) it shouldn't be an issue.

ok then i think i might do that then
