My giraffe catfish has turned into a bully and is aggressive towards everything else in the tank, when I researched them every site I went in said they was peaceful, so why has mine changed?

No. Their mouths are smooth. They can only damage other fish by body slamming, hitting, pushing, etc., which they can do being bulky, thick, strong-built.

Yes, it is highly unusual for a giraffe cat to be aggressive. The only time I've heard of that, if memory serves, comes from the legendary Michael Bryce (Arapaimag) who noted that his adult (?) was aggressive to (some?) other fish in his 52,000 gal tank. I don't remember if he thought his was an occidentalis, or wittei or some other. Have not seen him in a while here in the Catfish section. Really hope he will correct me if I am wrong or expand on it. You can pm him and bring up this thread to his attention. In addition to being a fish knowledge encyclopedia, he is truly a great guy.
