So i just recently got (like a few hours ago) another Gourami to go in my tank.. But it looks like my Gold is really just beating the snot outa him. She (i believe the gold is female) chases the blue (i think male) all around the tank "biting" at his tail.. and chases him into the corner into the fake plants. I did a little looking and it said that the Golds were the more aggressive of the Gourami breeds. However then I swear (and wife agrees) it looks like shes rubbing the side of him. Is this normal? Or is she still trying to bully him but them both in between the glass and the plant can't move?

I've already arranged to pick up a bigger tank to move her into (10G->20G) Once i get everything I'll post it up i think it was a good deal. But back to the question at hand.. Do I need to separate them for the time?

It's possible that you could have two males, but gouramis can be like that. How bad is it? Is the blue getting shredded, or just harrassed?

his tail looks like its being bit quite a bit-Ninja, our Dojo, keeps hitting the both of them with his tail because he's tired of it but I'm really wondering what the rubbing is. She rubs him quite a bit then chases him around the tank and back to the plants.

Just sounds like a show of aggression and power. Basically trying to show the new guy who's boss. I would keep an eye on them, because if it's 2 males, they may not last long.
