Help!! I have a twenty gal.(long) tank-Its planted-Has a pair of Pearl gouramis and a pair of gold gouramis, and a handful of small (cycle starter) fish-The gold male is gorgeous! He's about 3 1/2" long-BUT he chases everything in the tank...Any suggestions short of a swirling demise?

In a 20 long this behavior is likely to just get worse. He still has some more growing to do. If an upgrade is a possibility that would be your best bet. Otherwise I would look to rehome the fish.

Worst case craigslist him. Or take him to petco they take in fish and give them away for free to more suitable owners. Hell most LFS would probably rescue him

Since he is so nice I would try and get a much bigger tank. When I say much bigger I mean much bigger. But for now I would try a divider to spare the other fish.

Thank you for all the suggestions! After I watched him relentlessly terrorize the male pearl and cause him to slam in the tank side, I took him to our local Petco where they put him in a large plant display tank -His only tankmates are a badly abused Green Terror and a Red Tailed Shark-The gold tried to get belligerent with the Terror-Suffice to say the gold became very quiet afterwards-They said they'll rehome him...Thanks all!
