For the bigger and or more aggressive mbuna like maisoni reefs, is it a viable option to keep a singular adult male as a centerpiece in his own tank? I know most mbuna need other mbuna to be comfortable, but I do currently have a singular (very active) demasoni growing out in a 10 gallon just fine.

I don’t think they would mind being alone. They don’t really like other fish, they exist solely as competitors.
