Ive been growing out a couple of endlicheri with my sen and heterospilus in a 75 gal. Everything has been easy peasy up until the endlis past the sen in size.

I was preparing for this issue but thought it would be the other way around (the endli being aggressive).

The sen turned into a nasty little sob. Whacking the the two endlis when ever they approach the sens spot. Nothing major just some split tail fins but what gives ?! Thought sens and dels were supposed to be on the chill side

It all depends on the individual fish, I have had Delz that have chased all the other poly's in the tank off of food before. As for the fish if it is still able to eat, and only split fins it should be fine, as poly's are really tough fish.

Oh yeah these two endlis eat like oscars. Just surprised at the sens aggression.

It could be because he thinks they may become a threat or are a threat and is retaliating out of fear

Thx man

The two endli are pretty out going and relaxed fish. The sen has always been a little high strung. No damage at all on the sen ... at some point wouldnt size play a role and the sen would quit the b.s ?

my albino sen when I had him was nippy like that to new tank mates, once he got accustomed to sharing the space with the new tenants it was ok but he would nip fins and chase.
