What would be some good malawi cichlids to go with the 4 kenyi I have in my 55Gallon aquarium?

I have 1 male Kenyi (Just starting to turn yellow)
and 3 Female Kenyi and would like to know what else I could put in with them that wont be killed!

I had 2 electric yellow & 1 Albino Red Top Zebra with them but apparently the Kenyi will kill them, or so I'm told.

I bet my zebra would give all ur kenyi's a run for ur money and my old red would alwys team with my kenyi and kill everyone new I would put in their u should be ok with a zebra I have a albino redfin and he don't back down neither

Hmmmmmm.........I had the opposite occur. My other mbunas destroyed the kenya go figure. The Labs have been fine and breed.

My problem with an all mbuna tank is the lack of full spectrum color. For the most part mbunas are blues and yellows. Ofcourse there are some exceptions ie; Cherry Red zebras. So I went with a larger tank 150 to have a good Hap-mbuna-peacock mix and enjoy a full spectrum of color. Then I turned my attention to Lake Victoria.

About a year ago I saw a fish on Ebay called the Xmas fulu WOW full spectrum color in one fish. I do have a 55 gal grow out tank I 've been using for a few years for Piranha and South American cichlids, well i got 3 red tiger motos to grow out and the tank is free. I' m currently using a 30gal grow out to supply that 55 w/ Victorians.

By far IMO - The victorians give you a greater color range in a small package.

So far I've got a few xmas fulu, hippo point salmons, ruby green haps and rock kribs some male some female and hopefully by summer the victorian tank will be fully stocked. You might want to take a few minutes and research some of the smaller Victorians they'd work great in a 55gal.
