aggressivly stocking a 55 gal

i'm looking for an agressive fish for a 55 gal 42,18,24" tank due to shortly re-homing my red belly.

ive wanted an agressive fish for a while now(thats why i went phirana as was told in lfs that they were the meanest fish around:irked:) and my rbp has taken to breeding feeders and spends all its time eating algi wafers

would preffer to have a fish that will not outgrow this tank as allready have far too many tanks (if thats possible) can be a single fish or shoal but the nastier the better. i want it to look realy mean :ROFL:!

was thinking more along the lines of

prehistoric monster fish - Thalassophryne amazonica but if i want to look at a pair of eyes in sand i look at my sole

or sabretoothed tetra but have read they are very skittish and hard to raise to adulthood

should have put ugly in the req:ROFL:

never thaught about ciclids much, just seem to pertty for me
 
i would suggest a wolf fish then. i had one for about a month but i got got rid of him. he was not as active as i hoped. there really old looking but at the same time look beautiful, mine only ate feeders, they also have a mouth full of razor sharp teeth, so watch out when they get bigger.
 
was looking at one in my lfs but aint seen it move yet! in a community tank you can have fish that just sit all day, unsure about having one fish sat in the middle of an empty tank tho!
i would prob end up taking it bk after a few weeks its like a boomerang at my lfs
 
i have seen videos of them being more active at an older age. i just didnt have the patience to grow mine out. but the day after i took mine back to my lfs i stopped in to see it, and the lil bugger was just suspended right in the middle of the tank, and he started swimming around. that made me mad.
