My first babie!!!!!!!

i had 6 females and 2 males in my 10gallon for about a week...
both the males died ( think they had ich) But they did their job!!

I noticed a lil fish swimming around and its a baby guppie.. but theres only one. Do the parents have all the babies at once or have a couple every now and then?

I'm suprised the lil guy made it this long cuz theres not that many places to hide exsept behind the heater lol.

Tomorrow im gona give it another try, I'm gona go to petsmart, Buy 2 male guppies unique ones that are very nice looking. Lots of driftwood to match my tank, and some plastic topwater plants for fry to hide. and hope i get some more...

you could try a breeding trap, but I hear the females die from stress inside them tho. Instead of driftwood, try dense plants.

Guppies don't exactly pop em out one after another but it shouldn't take more then a few hours to have them all. Also female guppies can store the male's sperm for a very long time which explains why you have babies. It probably isn't even from the ones you had in your tank.

I was looking for another peice of driftwood as it is, But i'll try the driftwood.. And damnnn.. My lfs carries only females in a tank and only males in a diff tank so idk

Jeez! lol I'm gona go pick up 2 more males in a min than some heavy plastic plants, because i would prefer not to use a breeder thing i dont want my fish dieing.

Hey Milky, I am looking into buying a fish farm. There are over 100 ten gallon tanks. Set up about six to ten for breeding and growing feeders. Ya interested?
