I have a 75g African cichlid tank with 1 frontosa, 1 blue moori 3 peacocks, 1 hap and 1 snow white mbuna. I'm noticing green algea growing on the rocks. Should I get an algea eater and if so what kind?

The Mbuna will actually benefit from the algae. Personally a Bristle Nose would be my choice.

That's what I was thinking, but I wanted to make sure since this is my first cichlid tank. Thanks

I’d personally go with nitrite snails for algae control. Unless you like plecos. My snails do a way better job and have a fraction of the amount of poop the pleco makes. Lol

I had looked at them but I thought the fish would eat them.

I have them in all my tanks with fish up to 10”+ and they don’t bother them. Even my snail eating puffer leaves them alone.

My mbuna eat snails. I have some mostly in my sump.

I have Mbuna x peacock cross hybrids, regular mbuna and peacocks. They are alright in my set up.
