Well another problem has come to my attention. Leviathan (I realize the name fits now) has been biting at and chasing my other polypterus, Malachi. Malachi doesnt fight back at all but flees from him. I feed them both the same amount until they wont eat anymore. I know they are not hungry because they wont eat anymore. Its just for some, reason, at random times, Leviathan goes after Malachi. At the pet store these two were fine. There were alot more baby eels with them. But lately Levi has gotten really violent. Any ideas why or advice on what to do?

nothing really you can do, probably just establishing dominance

Polypterus will often bite each other to 'test' each other and establish dominance.

If you eventually get more polys and introduce them to your established sens, it may get nipped too.

dominence and or territory its perfectly normal behavior as long as its just chasing away and a nip.The agression really only becomes a problem when they square off,or the pursuit is all the way across the tank-Anne
